How do you connect a Xbox controller to a PC?

I need help figuring out how do you connect a Xbox controller to a PC using either Bluetooth or a USB cable. I’m not sure if drivers are required, so how do you connect a Xbox controller to a PC properly on Windows? Any guidance on how do you connect a Xbox controller to a PC would be appreciated.

There are three methods that can be used to connect an Xbox controller to a PC. USB cable: It can be plugged in and it is connected immediately. Bluetooth: Switch on the controller, press the Pair button and add it to PC Bluetooth options. Xbox Wireless Adaptor: It is easy to insert the adapter and then press Pair on either of the devices and then connect.
