Click Open Steam at the bottom right and Click Friends and Chat.Click on your profile name and choose either offline or invisible.This conceals your online status with friends and allows you to play.
There are two main ways. The simplest one is to click Friends in the menu bar and choose Invisible (you are online but unseen to other users) or Offline (you are online but you are not listed as a Friend/Chat). Alternatively, press Friends and Chat in the lower right, press the arrow beside your name and select Invisible or Offline.
To appear offline on Steam, open the Steam app and click “Friends & Chat” at the bottom right. In the Friends list, click the down arrow next to your username and select “Offline” or “Invisible.” This hides your online status while still letting you browse and play games
