How to charge a joystick charger PS4 properly without damaging the battery?

I bought a joystick charger ps4 but I’m unsure if I’m using it correctly. Does charging overnight harm the controller? Any recommended charging docks?

Bro don’t overthink it PS4 controllers are pretty chill about charging. Charging overnight usually won’t kill the battery instantly, but doing it every day for months can reduce battery health a bit. I use a generic dual charging dock from Amazon and it’s been fine for 2 years. Just avoid super cheap chargers that heat up.

I actually ruined one controller by leaving it plugged in 24/7 lol. It started dropping from 100% to 30% in like an hour. Since then I charge only until the light bar turns off and then remove it. If your dock has overcharge protection (most decent ones do), overnight charging won’t matter. Check its specs.

Overnight charging is fine as long as you’re not using those ₹300 wali shady docks 😭. Sony controllers have built in protection so once it hits full charge it stops pulling power. If your dock is from a decent brand like PowerA or Oivo, you’re good. I charge mine overnight almost every week.

Leaving anything lithium-ion plugged in all night isn’t “fine.” Does it explode? No. Does it wipe the battery slowly? Yes. People here act like Sony put alien tech in the controller 😆. Best practice: charge till full → unplug → don’t let it drop to 0%. That’s literally it.

LOL here we go again with the “don’t charge overnight” gang vs “bro chill” gang. I’ve had the same PS4 controller since 2015, charged it whenever I felt like, including nights, afternoons, sometimes even days I forgot. Still works. I think usage matters more than charging habits. Just don’t use those RGB-blinking-rocket-launcher-looking cheap docks.
