How to enable imessage on iPhone?

I need to use iMessage on my iPhone for connectivity purposes. How can I enable it?

To enable iMessage on your iPhone:

• Open Settings.
• Scroll down and tap Messages.
• Toggle iMessage to On (green).
• Sign in with your Apple ID if prompted.
• Wait for activation (may take a few minutes).

iMessage requires an internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular).
