How to force quit on Mac when it's frozen?

To force quit on a Mac when it's frozen:
  1. Press Command (⌘) + Option + Esc at the same time.
  2. The Force Quit Applications window will appear.
  3. Select the unresponsive app.
  4. Click Force Quit.
 
To force quit on a frozen Mac, press Command + Option + Escape keys together. Select the unresponsive app from the Force Quit window, then click Force Quit to close it immediately and regain control.
