Hey everyone, I accidentally dropped my phone in water and now I’m panicking about how to get water out of charging port safely. I don’t want to damage it further by using the wrong method. Should I use rice, airflow, or something else? Has anyone dealt with this before and fixed it successfully?

Yes, economics is a social science. It studies how individuals, businesses, and governments allocate scarce resources, make decisions, and interact within markets to produce, distribute, and consume goods and services.

Oh no, that’s stressful! I’d gently shake it upside down and use a soft burst of air like from a can of compressed air, avoid rice or heat, they can make it worse. I’ve done this once, and it worked fine after letting it dry for a few hours.

If water gets into your charging port, turn off your phone immediately and don’t plug it in, then gently tap it with the port facing downward to let excess water drain out and leave it in a dry, well-ventilated area for at least 24 hours; avoid using heat, blowing into the port, or inserting anything inside, as that can cause further damage.
