How to know if someone screenshots your Instagram story recently?

Out of curiosity, I want to know how can I find out if someone has taken a screenshot of my Instagram story.

Out of curiosity — totally valid question! But nope, Instagram doesn’t notify you if someone takes a screenshot of your story. So if someone screenshots it, you won’t know.

However, Instagram does send a notification if someone screenshots a disappearing photo or video sent via DM, not stories or regular posts. So for stories — it's screenshot stealth mode!

Instagram lacks the ability to track when users capture screen captures of your stories. Your message system will only provide notifications when your direct message profile or video is captured through a screenshot by another user. After someone screenshots your story you will not be able to detect this action.
