How to program a DirecTV remote?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to program my DirecTV remote but I’m not sure how to do it correctly. Can someone share the steps?

Hey, it’s pretty simple, just press and hold the MUTE and SELECT buttons until the light blinks, then enter the code for your TV or device. If you don’t have the code, use the on-screen setup it usually guides you through it

For programming of your DIRECTV remote control, you will need to switch your TV on first, followed by menu settings for remote control. From here you select program remote, and follow the on-screen prompts. There is also an automatic code search option or a TV code that you can input yourself.

To program your DirecTV remote, point your remote to your receiver and press Menu. Go to the Settings, Remote Control and choose Program Remote. Select your device and use on-screen instructions. Instead, press Mute and Select until the light turns on, and input the code of your device.
