How to Put Alexa in Pairing Mode?

I want to use my Echo as a Bluetooth speaker for my laptop, but I can't seem to find the device in my Bluetooth list. Does anyone know how to put alexa in pairing mode using both voice commands and the mobile app? I tried saying "Alexa, pair," but it says no devices are found.

I need to know if there's a physical button combination or a specific menu in the Alexa app that I'm missing. If you’ve successfully linked a PC or Mac, please share the trick to how to put alexa in pairing mode so it stays discoverable long enough for the handshake to complete.
