How to reboot my Android device?

I’m having some performance issues and want to reboot my Android device safely. What’s the proper way to restart it without losing data or settings? Are there different methods depending on the phone model?

To restart an Android device, one should press and hold the Power button until the menu will appear and then one should tap on Restart. In case the phone is frozen, press the Power button (or Power + Volume Down) 10-20 seconds until it starts again.

To restart your Android, you need to press and hold the Power button a few seconds, and again, in the menu, you have to choose Restart. In case the screen is not responsive, press the Power and the Volume Down buttons together during 1020 seconds to reboot.
