I’ve tried recording WhatsApp calls on both Android and iPhone, and here are the easiest methods based on my experience:
Android: Use a third-party app like Cube Call Recorder. Download it from the Google Play Store, grant permissions (microphone, storage, etc.), and enable it for WhatsApp. When you make a call, it records automatically, and a widget pops up. I used it last month, and the audio was clear, saved right to my phone’s storage.
iPhone: It’s trickier due to Apple’s restrictions, but the built-in screen recorder works for video calls. Go to Settings > Control Center, add Screen Recording, then start it before your WhatsApp call. Enable the microphone for audio. I did this for a video call last week, and it saved to Photos, though audio quality depends on your speaker. For voice calls, I’ve used a Mac with QuickTime—connect your iPhone, select it as the audio source, and record. It’s a bit of a hassle but works.
Always get consent from the other person before recording, as laws vary by region!
