How to screenshot on Mac?

I just got a Mac and I’m still figuring things out. I need to take screenshots for work and personal use, but I’m not sure about the easiest way to do it. Are there keyboard shortcuts or built-in tools that make screenshotting simple? Any tips on capturing full screen versus a selected area would be really helpful.

To take a screenshot on your Mac, simply press Shift + Command + 5 to open the Screenshot tool, where you can capture the entire screen, a selected portion, or a specific window. You can also use Command + Shift + 3 for a full-screen capture or Command + Shift + 4 to select a specific area.
