How to Split Tunnel Discord to Another Internet Source?

I have a dual internet setup with a high speed fiber line and a secondary LTE connection, and I want to route my voice traffic specifically through the stable line to avoid lag during gaming. Does anyone know a working method for how to split tunnel discord to another internet source using a VPN or a third-party network management tool?

To split tunnel Discord so it uses a different internet source, you’ll need a VPN or network tool that supports split tunneling. First, install a VPN like NordVPN or ExpressVPN. In the VPN settings, look for “Split Tunneling” and choose the option to route only specific apps through the VPN. Add Discord to the list, then select whether you want it to use the VPN connection or your normal internet while other apps use the opposite route. Alternatively, advanced users can configure split tunneling using routing rules in Windows or third-party tools, but VPN apps are the easiest method.

Split tunneling Discord means routing it through a different network (often outside a VPN).
Method (Windows VPN apps like NordVPN or ExpressVPN):
  1. Open VPN settings → Split Tunneling.
  2. Choose “Exclude apps from VPN.”
  3. Add Discord.
  4. Connect VPN.
Discord will now use your normal internet, while other apps stay on the VPN.
