How to Update Nvidia Drivers Safely Without Breaking Games?

I need to know how to update nvidia drivers properly because every time I do it, some games start lagging or crashing. Should I use GeForce Experience, clean install, or manual downloads? What’s the safest method?

The safest option, however, would remain GeForce Experience, though only when you want to use it in the form of Express Install. Clean installs should not be played with until something has gone wrong. The majority of crashes occur due to the fact that individuals upgrade drivers over hasty Windows updates or old-fashioned DirectX. And also restart your PC people forget that part Lol.

Bro I promise you Nvidia drivers are dice. Occasionally they can make your PC fly like a magic chip, sometimes it can make your PC turn into a potato. I previously downloaded it directly on the Nvidia site and chose the Studio Driver, rather than the Game Ready driver. Much more stable, and my games do not blow themselves up at random.

Do not follow the crowd of the so-called just use Express Install. Clean install refers to the most literal method in which the past drivers were disorganized. Use Display Driver Uninstaller (DU) with the safe mode and then install the newest driver manually. I cannot count the number of times this approach saved my PC.

Nah man, DDU is too excessive to use by ordinary citizens. It is as if you have nuked your whole system because a game stuttered. Old files are automatically removed by the normal installer of Nvidia. All you need to do is to maintain Windows and disable bizarre background overlays. One half of the driver problems that people moan about are literally Discord or Steam overlays competing to be noticed.

I simply leave Geforce Experience to update on its own at 3am when I am asleep and hope to the graphics card gods. 70 percent is a good percentage. When it does fail at night I go back to an older driver and feign that nothing has happened. However, that being said, the safest process that I consider is to download it manually on the Nvidia site, not the day-one drivers, and wait a week to see the bugs patched.
