How to use Tesla internet as Hotspot?

Tesla vehicles do not offer a built-in hotspot feature. To get internet in your car:

1. Use your phone’s hotspot and connect the Tesla via Wi-Fi.
2. Enable Tesla Premium Connectivity for in-car streaming and browsing (but not as a hotspot for other devices).
3. Use a dedicated mobile hotspot device inside the car for passengers.

As of now, Tesla vehicles do not support using their built-in internet as a Wi-Fi hotspot for other devices. You can connect your Tesla to your own mobile hotspot, but not the other way around.

To use Tesla's internet as a hotspot, you'll need a Premium Connectivity subscription. Once active, go to your Tesla's touchscreen, navigate to Controls > Wi-Fi Settings, and enable Wi-Fi Hotspot if available. Connect your device using the displayed network name and password. Note: Not all Tesla models or regions support hotspot functionality yet.

For a workaround, some users connect a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot or use their phone’s hotspot to bring internet into the car, not from it. If hotspot sharing becomes available via software updates, Tesla will announce it in the release notes.
