Shadow on laptop screen?

There is a weird, faint shadow on laptop screen localized in the bottom corner. It almost looks like a "dim" spot rather than a physical bruise. I’m worried this shadow on laptop screen is a sign of the backlight failing or a pressure point issue. Has anyone else dealt with a persistent shadow on laptop screen? I’m trying to figure out if I need to RMA the whole unit or if this is something that can be fixed with a simple bezel adjustment.

Yeah, I’ve seen that before, if it’s a faint dim spot in one corner, it’s usually backlight bleed or slight pressure from the bezel, not a dying panel. Try gently reseating the bezel or changing pressure; if it grows or spreads, then I’d consider an RMA.

A shadow on a laptop screen usually indicates a hardware issue, such as a failing backlight, loose display cable, or damaged LCD panel. It can also be caused by pressure on the screen. If restarting doesn’t help, professional repair or screen replacement may be needed.
