I noticed a process called nvmonitor running in the background and I’m not sure what it’s for. Is it related to NVIDIA drivers, and is it safe to keep enabled?

Nvmonitor is a background process related to NVIDIA graphics drivers. It helps monitor GPU performance, manage display settings, and support features used by software like NVIDIA Control Panel.

It runs on your system because it is installed with NVIDIA drivers and helps ensure your graphics card works properly. In most cases, it is a safe and normal process unless it is using unusually high system resources.
