Hi, I keep seeing listings marked as OBO on Facebook Marketplace. Can someone explain what it means and how it affects buying or negotiating prices? I want to understand how OBO on Facebook Marketplace works before making offers.

OBO on Facebook Marketplace means “Or Best Offer.” It tells buyers that the listed price isn’t fixed and the seller is open to receiving other offers, so you can try negotiating a lower price.

On Facebook Marketplace, OBO means “Or Best Offer.”

It shows the seller is willing to accept a price lower than the listed amount if a buyer makes a reasonable offer. It invites negotiation. Example: “$100 OBO” means the seller may accept less than $100.

It signals flexibility and encourages negotiation between buyers and sellers.
