What is the 4-1-1 rule on Twitter?

What is the 4-1-1 rule on Twitter? I’ve heard this social media strategy is about balancing promotional and non-promotional content for better engagement. Can someone explain it simply?

The 4-1-1 rule on Twitter is a simple content-mix strategy: for every 6 posts, 4 should be helpful or informative (e.g., tips, articles, or value content), 1 can be a soft promotional post, and 1 can be a more direct promotion or sales post. It basically keeps your feed from looking spammy while still letting you promote your stuff. I’ve seen it work well for keeping engagement steady without annoying followers.
