What’s the easiest way if you’re wondering how can you screenshot on a Dell laptop?

I need to take screenshots for a project, and I’m embarrassed to admit I’m not sure how can you screenshot on a Dell laptop properly. I’ve tried the Print Screen key, but nothing seems to happen visibly. Do I need to paste it somewhere after? Is there a shortcut that saves it directly as a file? I’m on Windows 10 if that helps.
