I’m having trouble connecting my controller to my Xbox One. I can’t seem to find or properly use the sync button on the console. Can someone explain where it is and how to pair the controller step by step? Any help would be appreciated.

The sync button on an Xbox One is a small, circular button located on the left side of the console near the disc tray on older models, or on the front right next to the USB port on newer models. Press it to pair controllers or accessories with the console.

On Xbox One, the sync button is used to pair controllers. On the original console, it’s located on the left side near the disc tray. On the Xbox One S and One X, it’s on the front right, near the USB port. Press it briefly to start syncing.
