Why am I unable to play hacked at hacked games on my current browser?

I am an old fan of the assortment of hacked at games, but of late I have hit a wall after which none of the titles appear to boot. The version of Chrome that I am using is the newest one, and I already tried to disable my adblocker to make sure that this was not the cause, but I continue to see a blank screen or an error of the unsupported plug-in. We now have modern browsers that use either the latest version of the web page creation standard called google html or the 'WebGL' or 'WebAssembly'. It's honestly ridiculous. I spend money for a high-end PC just to tell me with a browser what I can and can't run. I don't care about the "security risks" of a game that I played in middle school.
