Hi everyone, I keep getting the message “your organization's data cannot be pasted here” when trying to copy-paste text. Does anyone know why this happens and if there’s a way around it? Any tips would be appreciated!

That message appears because your workplace or school has security rules that block copying and pasting data into certain apps or websites. It’s meant to prevent sensitive or company information from being shared outside approved systems. Usually, it happens due to IT policies like data loss prevention (DLP) or device management settings. If you need access, you may have to use an approved app or contact your organization’s IT team.

Because of security policies at work or school that prohibit copying and pasting data into specific apps or websites, that notice is displayed. Its purpose is to stop private or business information from being disclosed to unapproved systems. IT rules like data loss prevention (DLP) or device management settings are typically to blame. You might have to utilise an authorised app or get in touch with your company's IT staff if you require access.

The error "Your organization's data cannot be pasted here" usually occurs due to security policies in Microsoft Intune or Outlook. This happens when you try to move information from a managed "work" app to a "personal" app. To resolve this, ensure you are pasting into an approved business application or contact your IT administrator to adjust the "copy-paste" restriction policies.
