Why does my phone say “Emergency Calls Only”?

My phone suddenly shows “Emergency Calls Only,” and I can’t make regular calls or use mobile data. I’ve tried restarting and checking airplane mode, but nothing worked. What causes this, and how can I fix it?

This message appears when your phone can’t connect to your carrier’s network. Causes include poor signal, SIM card issues, network outages, or roaming restrictions. Restarting the phone, reinserting the SIM, or switching network settings often resolves the issue.
