My PC won’t start and I’m getting an amd b450 chipset 3 beep code every time I power on. Does anyone know what this beep pattern means and how to troubleshoot it?

3 beeps on most B450 boards usually point to RAM not detected. Before panicking, pull out the RAM sticks, clean the contacts, and reseat them properly. Also try booting with one stick at a time.
If that doesn’t work, check whether your motherboard BIOS is updated some older B450 boards get picky with newer CPUs.

Bro my B450 did the same thing and scared the soul out of me. Turned out one of my RAM sticks decided to “retire” without telling me.
Take them out, blow some air (the Indian jugaad method 😂), put them back… boom, it worked.

It’s ALWAYS a GPU issue on these older boards. 3 beeps = graphics not initializing. Reseat your GPU and check the power connectors.

Check these in order:
  1. Remove/reset RAM
  2. Try a different RAM slot
  3. Remove GPU and boot with integrated graphics (if CPU supports it)
  4. CMOS reset for 30 seconds
  5. Check if the CPU pins are bent
Most B450 “3 beep” cases I’ve handled were bad RAM or improperly seated RAM.

My B450 used to beep like it was sending Morse code for help. Turned out the RAM wasn’t even clicked in properly I swear these boards need a punch to make the RAM lock.
Try pushing the sticks in till they snap. That’s usually the whole fix.
