Why is my Instagram DM screen black?

Hi everyone, my Instagram DMs are showing a black screen and I can’t access messages. Has anyone faced this issue or knows a fix?

Yeah I’ve had that happen once, it was just a glitch with Instagram try force closing the app or clearing cache, and if that doesn’t work an update or reinstall usually fixes it
