Hi everyone, I’ve noticed a black line appearing on my MacBook screen. I’m not sure if it’s a hardware or software issue. Has anyone experienced this before or knows how to fix it?

A black line on a MacBook screen usually indicates display damage, stuck pixels, or a loose/internal cable. It may require restarting, display reset, or professional repair if persistent.

A black line on your MacBook screen is usually caused by hardware issues. It may result from a damaged display panel, loose or faulty internal cable, or pressure on the screen. Sometimes, graphics glitches or software bugs can also cause lines, but this is less common. Restarting can help rule out software problems. If the line remains, it’s best to get the device checked or repaired professionally.
