Why is there no web browser on PS5 console?

Hello Guys! Could anyone please tell me why there is no web browser on the PS5 console?

The PS5 doesn’t include a dedicated web browser like previous PlayStation consoles because Sony chose to focus more on gaming and media experiences rather than general web browsing. Most users didn’t heavily use the browser on PS4, and removing it helps streamline performance and security. That said, the PS5 has limited browsing capability through in-app links (like Twitter login) but no standalone browser app is available for general use.

Unlike PS4, the PS5 lacks a dedicated web browser since Sony mainly focused on the performance, safety and simplified user interface of game and media applications. Compared to PS4, where the browser was high-profiled, PS5 is oriented on opti-mized applications, which minimizes risks and distractions that a browser could present. Some of its functions have hidden limited browsing capabilities that are not optimized to make the most substantial usage of the web.
