Why my computer screen is red tinted Is it Dying?

Suddenly, my computer screen is red tinted and everything looks like a scene from a horror movie. I've tried jiggling the VGA/HDMI cables, but it persists. Is my graphics card finally giving up the ghost, or is there a hidden Windows setting that caused this overnight?

check your windows night light settings because sometimes it glitches and turns the whole screen red instead of just warm

if you are using a vga cable one of the pins is probably bent or broken which drops the other color signals and leaves only red

are you sure you didnt just accidentally change the color profile to some weird preset in the monitor menu

swap the cable first and if that fails try a different monitor before you go buying a new gpu

this happened to me last month and i spent three hours fixing it just to realize the hdmi plug wasnt pushed in all the way
