Can Someone Explain How to Reset Lenovo Laptop Without Losing Important Files?

My system has been sluggish to a great extent, hence, I am looking to how to reset Lenovo laptop without losing my personal documentations. Is it possible to reformat windows whilst still saving my files in the process of the reset process?

On my Lenovo I used the built-in “Reset this PC” in Windows and chose “Keep my files” — it wiped apps but left my personal stuff alone. Still backed everything up to an external drive first just in case (highly recommend). It was way less scary than I thought tbh.
