Can someone explain how to turn off apple watch Series 10?

I’m trying to save battery while I'm away from a charger, but the side button isn't doing what I expected. What is the quickest way for how to turn off apple watch?

In order to switch off an Apple Watch Series 10 one must press the side button till the power options are shown and then drag the slider of Power Off. The power-off option should not have the watch to display. In the desired case, in order to restart it, press and release the side button once again, till the appearance of the Apple logo.

In order to switch off your Apple Watch Series 10, press and hold the side button until the power slider is shown on the screen. After that, touch the Power icon and slide the Power off slider to the right to turn it off. It does not allow you to turn it off when it is charging.
