Can you add a collaborator on Instagram after posting?

I want to add my friend as a collaborator on my Instagram post. Can someone tell me if it is possible? If yes, then how?

You can only add a collaborator on Instagram before or right when you post. You can't invite someone to be a co-author after it's already up.

But here’s what you can do:

The editing option allows you to tag mentioned people in the post so that they receive notifications although they remain separate from co-author status.
The solution to add a collaborator comes down to deleting the original post then reposting it with the correct collaboration structure.

Currently, Instagram functions in this way thus creating instances of annoyance for users.

No, you cannot add a collaborator to an Instagram post after it has been published. The "Collab" feature must be used during the initial posting process. Once the post is live, you cannot retroactively add collaborators. If you want to collaborate on a post, you need to do so before sharing it.
