How do I reset my Spectrum router properly?

My Spectrum internet has lost connectivity and I believe that a reset of the router may help solve the problem. I am not sure whether to press the reset button or in the Spectrum app. I need to find out what to do, and what comes after the reset.

You can reset your Spectrum router by pressing and holding the small reset button on the back for about 10 seconds until the lights blink. After that, wait a few minutes for it to fully restart. You can also use the Spectrum app to restart your router if you prefer. Once it’s back online, check your devices and reconnect to Wi-Fi. If problems continue, contact Spectrum support.
