To reset your Spectrum router properly, you can do it in two ways a soft reset or a factory reset.
For a quick reboot (soft reset):
Unplug the router’s power cable and leave it off for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait 5–10 minutes for all the lights to stabilize this often fixes small connection issues.
For a full factory reset:
Find the small reset button on the back of the router. Use a paperclip to press and hold it for about 15–30 seconds until all lights turn off, then release it. The router will restart and return to its default settings, so you’ll need to reconnect using the default Wi‑Fi name and password printed on the router label.
After the reset, give it a few minutes to reconnect to the internet. If issues persist, open the Spectrum app or contact Spectrum support to refresh your connection remotely.
