How to change OBS settings for AMD GPU?

I recently switched my PC to use an AMD GPU and I’m trying to optimize OBS for it, but I’m not sure which settings I should adjust. I want to make sure recording and streaming run smoothly without lag or dropped frames. Can someone explain the best OBS settings for AMD graphics, like encoder options, resolution, bitrate, and any AMD-specific features I should enable?

In OBS, go to Settings → Output → Encoder and choose AMD (AMF). Then tweak bitrate, preset, and resolution under Video to match your streaming or recording needs.

To change OBS settings for your AMD GPU, go to Settings > Output. Under the Streaming or Recording tab, change the Encoder to AMD H.264 (AVC) via FFmpeg or AMD H.265 (HEVC) via FFmpeg for hardware acceleration, then adjust quality presets and bitrate.

To optimize OBS with an AMD GPU, go to Settings > Output > Encoder and select H.264/AVC (AMD Advanced Media Framework). Set bitrate between 6000–9000 kbps for 1080p, enable VBR, and adjust preset to Quality. Under Video, set base/output resolution and FPS matching your gameplay.

To change OBS settings for an AMD GPU, open Settings > Output and select Advanced Output Mode. Under Streaming or Recording, set the Encoder to “AMD HW H.264/AVC” or “AMD HW H.265/HEVC.” Adjust bitrate, keyframe interval, and preset for balance between quality and performance. Then tweak resolution and FPS under Video.

To change OBS settings for an AMD GPU, open OBS → go to Settings → Video/Output → select Renderer or Encoder options compatible with AMD (like AMF for hardware encoding) → adjust resolution, FPS, and bitrate as needed → click Apply.

To optimize OBS for an AMD GPU, go to Settings > Output > Streaming/Recording and switch the Encoder to H.264/AVC (AMD Advanced Media Framework) instead of software (x264). Then, under Settings > Video, match your Base (Canvas) Resolution to your monitor and set the Output (Scaled) Resolution lower if you want better performance. Adjust FPS (30 or 60) based on system strength, and fine-tune bitrate in Output to balance quality and stability.

In case of OBS that has an AMD's GPU, use H.264/AVC (AMD AMF) Encoder. Bitrate should be about 6000Kbps for 1080p60 playback (of course, lower than that if necessary), keyframe interval should be set to 2, and Quality/Balanced should be used as a preset. Set it to base resolution at your monitor (output must be 1080p but 720p also works, in case of lag), and make your Frames Per Second to 60 (30 if needed). Set up a Two-Pass Encoding and set to High profile for best quality Always do some testing with a local record to make some adjustments if performance lacks.

In order to modify OBS settings of your AMD GPU, visit Settings > Output. On the Streaming or Recording tap, select the Encoder as AMD H.264 (AVC) using FFmpeg or AMD H.265 (HEVC) using FFmpeg as a hardware accelerator, quality presets and bitrate.

In OBS, set the encoder to AMD AMF (H.264 or H.265). Use CBR for streaming (bitrate \~6000 kbps for 1080p60) and higher bitrate/VBR for recording, match your resolution/FPS to your target, and enable AMD options like AdaptiveQuant.

To optimize OBS with an AMD GPU, go to Settings → Output → Encoder and select H.264/AVC (AMD HW). Adjust bitrate (2500–6000 kbps for streaming), set preset to balanced/quality, and use VBR/CBR as needed. In Video, match base and output resolution with correct FPS.

OBS In OBS, on Settings, Output, Encoder, click AMF (AMD Advanced Media Framework), and adjust Video settings; best quality/balanced/bitrate, resolution.

To change OBS settings for an AMD GPU, go to Settings > Output > Encoder and select H.264/AVC (AMD Advanced Media Framework). Adjust bitrate, quality, and preset for performance or quality. In Video, set resolution and FPS. Update AMD drivers to ensure optimal compatibility and streaming performance.

Setting OBS to work optimally with AMD GPU requires head Settings > Output, then in the "Encoder" dropdown menu selecting the AMD encoder, for example, either AMD H.264 (AVC) or AMD H.265 (HEVC). Thereafter, select Rate Control (CBR, perhaps) and keep Keyframe Interval equal to 2. For quality, you select a Preset of either Quality or P6 and then set Profile (High) and Max B-Frames (2). Choose Settings > Video and set your Canvas Resolution and Output Resolution and Frame Rate according to your desired settings (usually 1080p at 60fps).
