How to know if someone deactivated their Instagram or not?

I am not able to message my friend on Instagram. I want to know if he has deactivated his account or not?

@Himanshu Mehra, Check - If someone deactivated their Instagram, their profile won't appear in search, and old messages may show "Instagram User" instead of their name. You won’t see their posts, followers, or following count.

However, if you're blocked, similar signs appear. To confirm, check from another account or browser. If the profile appears there, you’re likely blocked; if not, they may have deactivated their account.
