How to pair Roku remote with TV?

Insert batteries into the remote. Turn on the TV and Roku device. If it’s a voice remote, press and hold the pairing button (inside the battery compartment or on the back) for 5 seconds until the pairing light flashes. The remote will automatically connect. Follow on-screen instructions if prompted. For simple IR remotes, point it at the TV; no pairing is usually needed.
 
To pair a Roku remote, insert batteries, turn on the TV and Roku device, and hold the pairing button (inside the battery compartment) for 3–5 seconds until the LED flashes. On-screen instructions will appear. For Voice Remotes, ensure Wi-Fi is connected. Keep the remote close to the Roku during pairing.
