Roku remote not working — how do I fix this?

My Roku remote is not working, and I’m not sure what’s causing the issue. I’ve tried basic steps, but nothing seems to help. Can anyone suggest quick fixes or troubleshooting tips to get it working again?

When Roku remote is not functioning, change or recharge batteries, restart Roku device and make sure there is no barrier between TV and remote. Repair the remote by pressing the pairing button.
