To recover deleted Instagram messages from smartphones, take these steps.

First attempt to download your data.
Go to Instagram, then go to your profile, and then the Menu icon to go into all settings.
- Tap "Your Activity"→ "Download your information"
Enter the email address associated with your account and follow the download process.
Inside this downloaded folder, the messages can be found inside the messages folder. Check this mailbox for the mailing contents.
