How to Reset Acer Notebook Without Losing Important Data?

I’m trying to figure out how to reset acer notebook, but I’m worried about losing personal files or installed programs. What’s the safest method to restore it to factory settings without messing up my data?

The inbuilt Windows feature of resetting this PC can be used.

1. Click on Settings - Update and Security - Recovery -Reset this PC.
2. Select Keep my files - it will delete applications and settings and leave personal files.
3. resort to the prompts and allow it to be done.

Always be sure to save stuff that is really important even though you have the reset because the reset might go wrong. You have to be an exception, not a rule.

It is the first thing that I always copy my Documents and Desktop to an external drive.
So Reset this PC - Keep my files.
Always works on Acer laptops. Easy peasy.

Dude, do not blindly rely on the keep my files option, I had lost some of my stuff once when windows had malfunctioned.

Yeah but that's like 0.01% chance. Just save copies of your really valuable files and you'd be fine.

Restoring a laptop without data loss is fundamentally windows saying:
Hey I will wipe all your problems...But not your cat memes... maybe.

In earnest, save my files and make a duplicate in case.

Alternatively, there is Acer Recovery Management on the notebook provided it has it:

• Traditionally press Alt + F10 when starting to boot up to enter into the recovery.
• Click Select Restore Operating System to Factory Gyro.

This can be quite effective in managing drivers, and it does not wipe out user information by accident.
