How to use rdp with port number?

Hello, I need to connect to a remote system using RDP with a custom port instead of default. I’m not sure how to specify the port. Can someone explain the correct format?

To use RDP with port, open Remote Desktop Connection on Windows and enter the IP address followed by the port number (for example, 192.168.1.1:3389). This allows connection through a specific port instead of the default. Make sure the port is enabled in the firewall and correctly configured on the remote system for secure and successful access.

To connect using rdp with port, launch Remote Desktop Connection and type the server IP followed by a colon and port number, such as 192.168.1.1:3389. This method helps access systems configured on custom ports. Always ensure the port is open in firewall settings and properly forwarded to allow smooth and secure remote connections.

Using rdp with port is simple and useful when the default port is changed for security reasons. Enter the IP address with the custom port in Remote Desktop Connection, like 10.0.0.1:3390. This directs the connection to the correct port. Verify firewall rules and network settings to avoid connection issues.

Rdp with port allows users to connect to remote systems using a specific port number instead of the default 3389. To use it, input the IP address and port together in the format IP:port. This setup improves flexibility and security, especially when multiple remote systems are hosted on the same network.

When using rdp with port, you need to specify the port number along with the IP address in the Remote Desktop client. For example, entering 123.123.123.123:3389 ensures the connection targets the correct service. Proper configuration of firewall and port forwarding is essential to establish a stable and secure remote session.
