I keep getting a network protocol error in Minecraft whenever I try to join a server. The game just disconnects me instantly. Has anyone faced this and found a working fix?

“Network Protocol Error” in Minecraft occurs due to version or mod mismatch. Fix by matching versions, removing incompatible mods, updating Java, restarting game, and checking server configuration for compatibility issues.

"Network Protocol Error" in Minecraft occurs because of version incompatibility, unstable internet or server problem. One way to solve this problem is to update your Minecraft, check your server compatibility, restart your router, disable any virtual private network, and confirm that the firewall allows you to play the game.

Yeah I’ve hit that before, usually it’s a version mismatch or mod conflict. Try switching your game version to match the server and remove any mods or resource packs, that fixed it for me.

The “Network Protocol Error” in Minecraft usually occurs when your game version doesn’t match the server or due to connection issues. Fix it by updating Minecraft to the correct version, checking server compatibility, and restarting your internet. Disable VPNs, update Java (for Java Edition), and ensure mods are compatible. Reinstalling the game or resetting network settings can also resolve the problem.
