What are Classroom Events G+ and how are they supposed to work?

I recently heard that someone said something about classroom events g+ and this may be in regards to Google Classroom or school activity tracker but I have not been able to find a clear documentation about it. Is it a or third-party extension or an older extension that is no longer supported? Provided that anyone has ever applied it to a learning process, I am interested in knowing how it functions and what its essence is.

Classroom Events G+ refers to event posts or activity updates shared within Google Classroom (earlier linked with Google+), where teachers create announcements, assignments, or discussions and students can view, respond, and stay updated in one stream; it works like a private class feed designed to keep communication and coursework organized in one place.

Classroom Events G+ are Google Classroom’s integrated calendar events. They allow teachers to schedule assignments, quizzes, or class activities. Students receive notifications, view deadlines, and track participation. It streamlines classroom organization, ensuring everyone stays informed and on schedule.
