I’m optimizing my LinkedIn content and want to make sure I’m using the correct image and video sizes for posts. Can anyone share a LinkedIn post sizes guide for 2025, including image dimensions and video specs?

single images go in a 1200x627 landscape, square 1080x 1080 with a carousel and full-vertical video 1080x1920 should you be dramatic. Works across most feeds.

Also profile pic = 400x400 (it seems to be in the form of a circle), and cover/header = 1584x396. Centralize important items in mobile/desktop crops to ensure that your logo is not consumed by them.

Quick geek trick: LinkedIn suggests a 1.91:1 proportion (1200x627 is the result of such a ratio) link/post image optimum between desktop and mobile. Your picture might be oddly cropped when your image is either too tall or too narrow.

Video requirements regular (organic) posts LinkedIn can support 5 GB of video, and the maximum length is 10 minutes (on desktops this can be even more in some instances). MP4 (H.264) should be used and 16:9 (1920x1080) should be used in case of landscape or 1:1/4:5 should be used in the case of mobile friendly.

Ad video requirements are different: the size could range of files is smaller (100 Kb-500 Mb), as well as the timeframe (3s-30m based on the type of ad). So you need to check whether it is organic post or paid creative.
