What causes black line on laptop screen Dell?

I recently noticed a black line on laptop screen Dell that won’t go away. It stays visible even after restarting the device. Could this be a hardware issue or is there a software fix I can try?

A black screen on a Dell laptop screen is typically due to hardware problems such as a broken LCD panel, loose or broken display cable, or GPU. Sometimes it can also be due to stuck pixels or driver glitches. Unless rebooting resolves the problem, it is probably a hardware problem that might require screen replacement or repairs.

A black line on a Dell laptop screen is usually caused by either a damaged display panel, a loose or faulty display cable (LVDS/eDP), or a graphics issue. It can also appear after physical pressure, drops, or long-term screen wear.

Honestly, if that line stays even after restart on your Dell laptop, it’s usually a hardware issue like a damaged screen or loose display cable; you can try updating graphics drivers, but it rarely fixes a persistent line.
