What do the icons on the Chat Screen mean?

I keep seeing different icons on my Snapchat Chat Screen, and I’m not totally sure what each one means. Some show colors, some show arrows, and others look like symbols for opened or delivered Snaps. Is there a clear guide to understand them?
I want to make sure I’m reading my chats correctly—any simple explanation would be super helpful!

On Snapchat, the icons on your chat screen show the status of your messages and Snaps. A filled arrow means a Snap or chat has been sent, while a hollow arrow means it’s been delivered. Red icons indicate a Snap without audio, purple is a Snap with audio, and blue represents a chat message. A square or chat bubble shows messages, and a gray icon usually means it’s pending or not yet delivered. These symbols help you quickly see what’s sent, received, opened, or pending, so you can track your chats easily.

Chat screen icons show message status and actions: a clock means sending, one tick means sent, two ticks mean delivered, colored ticks mean read, a microphone shows voice notes, a camera indicates media, and a paperclip means attachments.

The icons on the Chat Screen are an indication of message status:
  • Colored Squares (red/purple/blue) denote that you have an unopened Snap (with or without audio) or Chat.
  • Colored Arrows signify that you have sent a Snap or Chat that hasn't been opened.
  • Unfilled Outlines indicate that the message has been viewed or opened.

Yeah, Snapchat icons can be confusing, basically solid arrows mean sent, hollow arrows mean opened, squares mean chats, circles mean snaps, and the colors (red, purple, blue) show the type of message (photo, video, or chat).
