What does DND mean on Snapchat and how to use it?

I have recently come across this DND term on Snapchat I do not know what does it mean and how to use it. Could anyone pls assist me?

DND means Do Not Disturb. It stops notifications from someone’s snaps or chats without blocking them.

How to use it:
Hold the person’s name → Tap Chat Settings → Turn on Do Not Disturb.
