I'm updating my resume and wondering where can i put linkedin on my resume on top so it looks clean and recruiter-friendly. In case it touches on contact information, in my name or in any other place?

Hii Olive Including your LinkedIn in your resume is not a bad idea is almost like your extended resume. The best place is to place it next to your contact details so that it does not make your header look messy and unprofessional.

It can be done step by step in the easiest way as follows:
  1. Locate the Header: Click to the upper-right of your resume where your phone number, email and name are.
  2. Clean Up Your URL: Clean up the LinkedIn URL (in your profile settings) by putting a customized version of your URL in there (linkedin.com/in/yourname rather than some random numbers).
  3. Location with Website and Contact: In the same line bring your email or phone number. You may place a small vertical bar () or a bullet in between them in order to keep it on a single clean line.
  4. Hyperlink It: Right-Click, highlight the text, right- click and select Hyperlink. Insert your complete profile address. In this manner, a recruiter only needs to tap it and directly hit your profile direct without requiring to type in the URL of the site i.e. https://www.
  5. Optional Icon: Have it the fancy way: You can put a small simple LinkedIn icon beside the link, but plain text will also do the trick to ensure that it is pro.
Some advice: Do not make it a part of your name or make it complicated. All you have to do is to treat the digital address simple, and clickable, and easy to find!

You have the option to add the LinkedIn profile to your resume either in the top header next to your name or in your contact details section, preferably with your email and phone number. This is possible only when the profile is complete, professional, and tailored for the job application.
