My AOC monitor keep blacking out issue happens during normal use and sometimes while gaming. I’ve checked cables and basic settings but the problem still occurs. Could this be a hardware issue or something fixable in settings?

When your AOC monitor blacks out every now and then, it is either because of loose cables, bad connections or power problems. Other reasons are old graphics drivers, mismatched refresh rates, or hardware issues with the monitor. Verifying HDMI/Displayport cables, re-updating drivers and testing against another device are usually the steps to find and resolve the problem.

The loose or damaged cables, unsteady power supply, or overheating can result in random blackouts on an AOC monitor. Intermittent screen loss can also be caused by graphics card problems or an outdated driver. To solve the problem, it may be necessary to ensure secure connections, update drivers, and test the monitor with a different device.

AOC monitor can be black because of the incompatibility between the graphics card and the settings of refresh rate and resolution. Sudden black screens may also be due to power variations or a broken backlight. The random blackouts can be corrected by checking display settings, changing cables, and having a steady power supply.

If an AOC monitor randomly goes black, it could indicate a hardware problem, such as a failing panel, capacitor, or internal circuitry. Blackouts can also be caused by software problems such as driver conflicts. To diagnose the root cause, it is possible to test the monitor with another PC or update graphics drivers.

The cause of random black screens on an AOC monitor can be related to cable connection problems, defective ports or inappropriate GPU settings. Temporarily, blackouts may be caused by energy-saving modes or screen timeout settings. Checking cables, calibrating display options, and experimenting with various ports normally resumes stable monitor operation.
