My PC keeps failing to install KB5058405 on Windows 11. I’ve tried restarting and retrying the update but it won’t finish any ideas on what causes this and how to fix it?

This normally occurs as a result of damaged update files or a bug in windows update services. It is recommended to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to run and then go ahead to dismiss the contents of the SoftwareDistribution folder and restart your PC. The update can also be installed manually in Microsoft update catalog that generally fixes it.

KB5058405 keeps failing because Windows 11 woke up today and decided it simply does not trust your PC.
It’s like, “Your hardware? Suspicious. Your drivers? Questionable. Your vibes? Off.”
Try restarting. Or bribing it with cookies.

Same issue here. My PC refuses to install KB5058405 like it’s negotiating a labor contract.
“Better battery life or NO UPDATES.”
Honestly respecting the rebellion.

Windows update fails when your storage has exactly 0.0000001GB less than needed.
KB5058405 is like, “Oh? Only 12.3GB free? I require 12.3000001GB. Declined.”
Clear your recycle bin and pray.

The real reason Windows 11 update KB5058405 fails is because that ONE ancient driver on your PC (yes, the dusty 2012 one) refuses to participate.
It’s sitting there like:
“No. I will NOT move to the future

Windows updates fail when your storage is 0.00001 GB short.
KB5058405 is like:
“Oh? Only 12.3GB free? I require 12.3000000001GB, peasant.”
Empty your recycle bin and hope for mercy.

Let’s be honest, half the time Windows 11 update KB5058405 fails because Microsoft spins a wheel every morning:
Works
Works

FAIL FOR DRAMA
Looks like our PCs landed on “chaos.”

Yup, my Windows 11 update KB5058405 failed too.
My PC is basically on strike like:
  • Fix my battery life or I’m not installing anything.
  • Can’t even be mad — solidarity.

You may encounter an issue applying the Windows 11 update KB5058405 due to insufficient disk space, corrupted system files or drivers, antivirus interference, or if there are pending updates. The Windows Update Troubleshooter or installation manual may work.
